I know it sounds like a terrible trip cause I'm bitching a lot. In all honesty I'm seeing amazing things here. I get a glimpse through a window of a world many people can't imagine. I get kinda energized when I see the two sides of this world. In South Africa the poor people surrounded the cities and when you were inside it wasn't too visible. Here it's the opposite the only place not poor are the palaces. And from my view there are more palaces in India than Cows.
I have, however, found a new ab workout. By sitting in the front of the bus I clench up everytime when look like we're going to hit another car, cow, fill in the blank object. And in the cities that's about every 2.5 seconds. I got my first glimpse of the taj mahal today from the agra (red) fort. Fort as in it had a garrison, then continuing through the british reign and now the Indian Army has an outpost in part of it, but a palace in every other aspect of the word. The cooling system is ingenious, dump water on the sandstone, it gets absorbed and cools the walls. Pretty cool stuff. Anyway I feel much better if you can't tell by my writing, and I'll try to post some pictures now, the connection is pretty slow but hopefully it will work. Au revoir I'm off to the Taj Mahal in the morning.

Awesome blog. Would like to hear more about the 2 sides of India. What are the cultural, religious, economic and/or political forces that maintain these sides? ...Marta
Sounds as if your having a blast
